I own a MacBook Pro 15” Mid-2015. Do you think as a college student, the new 16” M1 Pro could be a good choice, or the 14” is a wiser choice?
Depends on your needs first. If you need it for simple word processing, excel, presentations, emails and that kinda processes then an Air is more than enough, the new one preferably (2015 new, not the no light bar new). However if you need it for more professional use like video editing or photoshop etc, in the future or now, it will work on the Air, but will be much better on the Pro for regular use. Next, portability. ifnyou need to carry it everyday, Air is preferable as its lighter (obv), but if you don't mind the weight and don't want to compromise on power, the Pro. Which version you choose is completely in you. I'd recommend the light bar versions though, it's like an experience in itself, amazing integration as well. 15 inch for mainly professional use, video editing, multi monitor setup etc. 13 inch for some heavy apps or games. Lastly, the new MacBook Air (the latest MacBook, without the touch bar) if you want to save some cash and don't care about the breath taking Light Bar features. Good luck on making your choice. Do consult an Apple seller if in more doubt, t'll guide you depending on your situation. But remember, choose the laptop for your current and other requirements you may have in the foreseeable future, as you would rather not go around huting a new one every now and then. Unless you're really RICH!
